TARMAC JOKES AND GROOM LAKE HUMOR

HOUSE SIX

Roadrunners living at Groom Lake during the 1960's know that the CIA's compartmentalization policy assigned Air Force personnel to one group of World War II era Navy barracks. CIA contractors to another group, and the CIA drivers of the A-12 Articles hung out in House Six.

THE BARD OF BEATTY

Willy Wuest, aka The Bard of Beatty is believed to be residing in England. During the OXCART program, he was one of the weather officers at Area 51. The following are some of his writings while at Groom Lake. To some, the articles are humorous - to others they are sad as they depict the closure of a great era in our roadrunner careers.
