Ted Hanson

The second Roadrunner taking his final flight in early 2013 is Ted Hanson whom we remember being with Garrett Industries (Air Research Division) at Area 51 during Project OXCART, and and Kadena, Okinawa during Operation BLACKSHIELD before transferring to the SR-71 program at Beale AFB. Hanson was an Air Force veteran who served in Germany in the early 1950s. Retirement continued with many activities, involvement with the Sons of Norway, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Sons in Retirement and the SR-71 Retirement Group. He was passionate about all that he did which truly set him apart because you could feel his passion. Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mildred, his son, Randy (Pattie) Laubhan of Fair Oaks, grandchildren, Lisa Laubhan of Santa Ana, Eric Laubhan of Mission Viejo, great grandchildren Adrian del Can, Eva del Can, Taylor, Drake, Kaleb and Charlene Laubhan, sister, Joan Mansu of Galt and sister, Marvel (John) Clement of Niagara Falls, New York.
