I was an engineer for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from 1957 through 1967. Most of that time was spent on the development of the J-58 engine. I had several occasions to visit the Ranch during the early to mid 60's and was really impressed with the accomplishments of the entire program. In today's environment of aircraft development I don't believe the same could be accomplished, let alone on the same schedule and budget.
This program was definitely the "high-point" of my career and I'll always be proud of being a part of it.
